WHAT?
Plan lighting setups, position lights, adjust brightness and color temperature, collaborate with the DoP and camera team, and maintain a stable power supply on set – all while following safety regulations.
WHEN?
Throughout the entire shoot. The gaffer is there any time lighting is being set or adjusted.
HOW?
With technical know-how, certified electrical training, solid safety knowledge, a creative eye, precise planning – and a light meter always at the ready.
