Code of Conduct
At NewMotion, we believe that real collaboration only works in a fair, respectful, and supportive working environment where everyone feels valued. That’s why creating a culture that is diverse and sensitive to discrimination is so important to us.
We actively welcome and support applications from BIPOC applicants, people of all nationalities, ages, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities. Step by step, we’re working to make our program more inclusive and to ensure that in the future people with disabilities can participate fully and have equal access.
NewMotion does not tolerate any form of discrimination based on gender, race, religion, origin, skin color, beliefs, sexuality, gender identity, social background, disability, weight, or age. At NewMotion, we take a clear stand against sexism, racism, colorism, homophobia, biphobia, interphobia and transphobia; antisemitism, Islamophobia, ageism, weight discrimination, ableism, and all other forms of discrimination including intersectional discrimination. We also do not accept bullying or any emotional, physical, or sexual misconduct in the workplace.
If discrimination occurs, NewMotion will always stand with those affected and take immediate and decisive action. Reports are reviewed promptly, and protective measures will be taken. If this Code of Conduct is violated, NewMotion may exclude individuals from the program without notice. If participants or partner organizations commit a criminal offense (for example, verbal abuse or sexual assault), NewMotion reserves the right to file a criminal complaint and pursue further legal action for damages. All measures are taken in line with the German Basic Law (Grundgesetz [GG]) and the General Equal Treatment Act (Allgemeinen Gleichbehandlungsgesetz [AGG]).
This Code of Conduct serves as a preventive measure to reduce risk. It is signed by the host company, the Shadows, and NewMotion, and is the foundation of our collaboration.
We at NewMotion want to emphasize that any observation or experience of discriminatory or inappropriate behavior can be reported at any time to the designated contact person in the NewMotion project team. If that person is unavailable, their deputy will handle the report. All reports are treated as strictly confidential. Any follow-up action will only be taken in consultation with, and at the request of, the person affected. We encourage active participation in preventing discrimination and value any information that helps us maintain a respectful environment.
