WHY?
Because action scenes can’t be left to chance. Every movement, every crash, every leap has to be choreographed, secured, and rehearsed. The stunt coordinator keeps the balance between adrenaline and responsibility.
WHAT?
Design stunts, run rehearsals, create safety plans, coordinate timing and tech, communicate with insurance and production, cast stunt doubles—and step in themselves if needed.
WHEN?
From the very beginning—during planning and budgeting. Before filming starts, they usually shoot “previs” (pre-visualisation) scenes to test and analyze action beats. Ideally, both stunt doubles and actors take part in rehearsals, especially for fight scenes, to make sure everything runs smoothly and safely on set.
HOW?
With extensive stunt experience, a strong focus on safety, creative choreography, technical precision, and real team spirit. The stunt coordinator brings the action to the screen—without losing sight of what matters most: safety.
