WHO?

The props assistant makes sure all props are in the right place at the right time. They represent the props department on set, prepare and place items for each scene, and ensure continuity and visual consistency.

WHY?

Because props help tell the story. Every object in the frame adds atmosphere and credibility – and the props assistant ensures that everything fits and nothing is forgotten.

WHAT?

Prepare, arrange, and supervise hand props according to the script, explain how they’re used to the actors, and monitor them during the shoot. Check for continuity and collaborate closely with the director, camera team, script supervisor, costume, and cast.

WHEN?

Throughout the entire shoot. The props assistant is always on set and keeps everything consistent from scene to scene.

HOW?

With a sharp eye for detail, improvisation skills, hands-on experience, patience – and a van full of tools, materials, and backup props.
