WHY?
Because no camera gets set up, no meal gets eaten, and no crew arrives on time if someone isn’t making sure everything and everyone gets where they need to be, safely and on schedule. Production drivers are the quiet force behind the scenes – often the first ones up.
WHAT?
Transport crew, cast, gear, props, and materials. Shuttle between set, hotels, offices, and locations. They also manage vehicle logistics, give vehicle briefings, fuel up – and step in for last-minute emergency runs, whether it's for a missing cable or an extra.
WHEN?
From the first pickup in the morning to the final drop-off at night. Production drivers are on duty whenever movement is needed – often before the shoot starts and even after it wraps.
HOW?
With a good sense of direction, reliability, a calm head in city traffic, and a friendly “No problem!” for whatever challenge comes next. They know the best routes, the roads to avoid – and are an irreplaceable part of the team on four wheels.
